Alfred Lamptey aka ‘Bukom Bomber’ has set his on the National Featherweight title.
The boxer who carries a lot of supporters in Bukom and James Town (Accra) said the journey to stardom began when he decided to become a boxer, and he wants to become one of the youngest champions.
“I am determined to become a champion, and with the help of God and my management I know the sky is the limit, but we start with the local titles and then move steadily towards the continental and world titles” he told Yours Truly.
According to ace boxing promoter Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, the Bukom Bomber is currently one of the boxers fans love to watch.
He hinted that if all things go well, ahead of the covid-19 pandemic Lamptey would be engaged and hit at the Ghana National title belt.
Meanwhile boxing fans are talking about a Lamptey versus Felix Williams clash, though they train at the same Black Panthers Gym.
Nigerian born Ghana based Williams held IBF international title before losing it to Josh Wale in the UK is very experienced as he earlier won the National Super Bantamweight title before moving up in weight, but after defeating the tough veteran Raymond Commey, youthful Lamptey is now ready to take on the best contenders and champions.
30 years old southpaw standing Felix has 28 wins with 21 knock in 30 fights against 2 loses.
Alf Lamptey is 17 years with five fights, winning all in style.
