Former IBF international welterweight champion Albert Mensah (29-6-1, 13 KOs) has thrown a challenge at compatriot Patrick Allotey (36-2, 28 KOs).
Mensah wants to test his fists against rugged Allotey who is regarded one of the hard hitters in the welterweight.
“I want to fight Patrick Allotey, he is a good fighter and that is why i want to fight him,”Mensah told Boxingghana.com.
“In boxing if you want to beat the best then you must fight the best. I want Patrick Allotey tio respond my call,” he added.
If this fight is made, it will become one of the best local matchups.
After two years, Mensah returned to the ring last month and he destroyed Success Tetteh in round three.
Allotey ‘s last fight was in September 2017 against Sani Yidana Kugblie – he won courtesy KO in round two.
