ADOLPHUS AMARH ADJUGDED BEST NOVICE JUVENILE BOXER AT THE GABA BOOK B4 HOOKS TOURNAMENT

The Greater Accra Boxing Association in its mandate to ensure boxing in the Greater Accra Region regains its face started programs both in the ring and in schools to ensure no one is left out. With the main motive to get the novices and juveniles who have the love for boxing to gain the ground to participate, GABA introduced the KO Teenage Pregnancy with Boxing, Books B4 Hooks, All Novice Boxing among others which got the community in awe as their children got the chance to participate and showcase their talents.

In the second edition of the Books B4 Hooks, Adolphus Armah whose aim has been to wear a world title around his waist one day proved with action that he is ready to go any length to learn and polish his boxing skills.

With over 20 novice boxers who took to the canvass to showcase their talents, Adolphus Armah whose talent caught the attention of the judges after displaying skill and power in his bout was adjudged the ‘Best Novice Juvenile Boxer’.

At the same event, the judges present were not only looking at boxers who were ferocious and enterprising but also boxers who showed good sportsmanship.

Caleb Mensah, a participant of the GABA Books B4 Hooks after the entire tournament and his great respect for the other boxers in the ring and referees in charge of his bouts, was crowned Sportsmanship and Boxer of the Tournament GABA 2021.

GABA Assistant Administrator, Sarah Lotus Asare stated, “These boxers came a long way to exhibit their talents and we were surprised how they did that like professionals, they have the talent and can go far in the trade. We will urge them not to sway into other social vices that has taken many in the community off their homes and to stay disciplined in all that they do. We will continue to follow their progress in the sport”
