Russia’s Olympic gold medalist at the recent Olympics in Rio, Evgeny Tishchenko, obliterated Ghana’s cruserweight fighter Abraham Tabul via a brutal first round knockout at the Global Boxing Forum KRK “Uralets”Russia, Ekaterinburg.
Tishchenko(5-0,3KOs) dominated his overmatched opponent, Abraham Tabul (16-2-1,13KOs), from the very first minute of the bell until the eventual knockout, which he unsurprisingly scored halfway in the very first round of the scheduled 10 rounder to win the vacant World Boxing Organisation Inter-Continental Cruiserweight Title.
The towering boxer (6’5”) whose previous 2 victories were all subject of controversy, registered his best and most convincing performance ever against Tabul as the undefeated boxer simply made a quick work of the then current World Boxing Organisation Africa Cruiserweight Titlist.
Abraham Tabul secured the vacant World Boxing Organisation Africa Cruiserweight Title in a controversial circumstances against Patrick Ferguson in March, 2019 at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra-Ghana, a bill promoted by Box Office Sports Promotions bankrolled by Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye.
The Ghanaian struggled against the southpaw who had a better reach advantage and punching power. The knockout came as no surprise mainly because the Russian was by far the superior of the two in all technical and tactical departments.
For most connoisseurs that watched the bout, Tabul must drop down in weight division if he is to make an impact.
