The GBA President, Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye is hopeful his first world title as a president is just around the corner after commending Alfred Lamptey during his visit and donation to the prolific fighter.
His election as GBA president has been very instrumental as he has been noted with his inclusion in almost all boxing events inside and outside the ring after his visit together with the GBA Board Members to the camp of Alfred Lamptey who fights for his first world title on the 4th of September at the Bukom Boxing Arena
“I am here in connection with my boy, Alfred Lamptey who is going to fight the WBO world title.
“Today the entire GBA is here to give our support to him coming September 4th. I am very sure that I am going to win my first world title as a president as I just took office and I am happy to be here with my team to support my boy Lamptey to win the title.
I have seen Lamptey for a very long time, he is a very good boxer, he is very disciplined and looking at his training level he is going to win the title for Ghana.
“Oh yes, this is what we do as GBA, whenever there is a world title shot like this we come in and donate to the boxers. Now we are also here to donate money to our boy so that it can motivate him buy some few vitamins and other things that is going to help him perform well on the ‘D Day’.
We are giving him this because we are also expecting something on 4th September from him so as we are here, we want to motivate him then come 4th September he will also lift up the flag of Ghana very high.
The promoter is working very hard and the GBA is also working closely with the promoter. With the security arrangement, GBA and the promoter we are in charge, everything is in order and we want to assure them, it is not only this particular world title on the bill but we have another bill that good boxers, so we are sure the public they will come and enjoy boxing, somebody will say the new face of boxing, yes and it is going to happen.”
After his confident statement promising a first world title under his watch, Mr. Abrahma Kotei Neequaye joined the crowd to sign and celebrate in anticipation of the showdown on the 4th September, 2021.
