“A lot of people say ‘If he ( Anthony Joshua) loses the second time he’s done’ – no he’s not” – Deontay Wilder says

Deontay Wilder’s opinion on Anthony Joshua versus Andy Ruiz Jr II is simple, he prefers Andy Ruiz to win but does not subscribe to the opinion that a second defeat will spell doom for Anthony Joshua’s career.

“A lot of people say ‘If he ( Anthony Joshua) loses the second time he’s done’ – no he’s not!

“He’s not done, that’s up to him, how many people have come back and reigned?

“Look at Muhammad Ali, he reigned for longer in his second time as champion than he did the first time, that’s how you become a two or three-time champion.

“So it’s not over when you lose. You just have to start from the beginning.” Deontay Leshun Wilder expressed in an interview.

But the Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury holds a different opinion and is rather rooting for his fellow Brits Anthony Joshua

“It can go either way. I think Joshua is going to try and make it boring, use the jab, but then again that only works until you get tagged

“And then you get tagged and you’ll start fighting, doing what you naturally do. So that’s what will happen. Listen, I don’t know. I’m not a Nostradamus.

“I hope Joshua wins because it puts him back in the mixer for a big fight with us, because Andy Ruiz ain’t really that big of a draw”.

Then undefeated unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua suffered a shocked defeat to the then WBA no. 5, WBO no. 11 and IBF no. 14 ranked Andy Ruiz Jr in June of this year and now the former must try to reclaim his title come Saturday 7, December 2019 in Diriyah Arena, Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.
